Part Number: What is it and how to find it?
Part Number: What is it and how to find it?
The Part Number is a unique code assigned by the manufacturer to identify a specific part or component. It works like an ID for the part, ensuring you find exactly the compatible item for your notebook, regardless of model or series variations.
To find the Part Number, the most direct way is to look at the original part. Check labels or engravings on the part, such as:
Batteries: Usually, the Part Number is printed on the main label;
Keyboards and Screens: It is printed on a label stuck to the back of the part;
Power Supplies/Chargers: It may be printed on the part's specification label or on the power supply itself.
In some cases the code will not be labeled "Part Number" but something similar like: Model Number, SKU, P/N, M/N, PA, Replace, Type or Model.
